V.E.T.S. Key Component

Outreach and Advocacy: (Summer 2023)

Advocates for the needs and interests of veterans in the wider community and works to raise awareness of the challenges that veterans face. This includes outreach to local businesses, government agencies, and community organizations to build partnerships and support for veterans.

Peer Support: (Fall 2023)

Facilitate peer support groups and events to connect veterans with each other and build a supportive community. This includes social events, volunteer opportunities, and mentorship programs.

Mental Health Support: (Late 2023)

Offers mental health support and resources to help veterans navigate the challenges of transitioning to civilian life. This includes counseling services, support groups, and referrals to mental health professionals as needed.

Career Coaching: (Early 2024)

Offers personalized career coaching to help veterans identify their strengths, interests, and goals, and develop a plan for achieving success in their chosen field. This includes assistance with job searching, resume and cover letter writing, and interview preparation.

Education and Training: (Early 2024)

Provides access to education and training opportunities, including vocational training, certifications, and degree programs, to help veterans acquire the skills they need to succeed in their desired career path.

Financial Literacy: (Early 2024)

Provide financial literacy training to help veterans manage their finances and make informed decisions about their money. This includes workshops on budgeting, saving, and investing, as well as information on VA benefits and other financial resources.
